Digital Wellbeing, Mental Health and Resilience with Nicky Marshall

April 01, 20242 min read

We need to help young people but a lot of people ask what does resilience mean so we need to help define that - Nicky Marshall, Discover Your Bounce

At Inclusive Change at Work CIC and Digital Safety CIC we are thrilled to be hosting the upcoming Castle Conference in Bristol on April 25, 2024, focusing on digital safety and wellbeing for young people.

As we gear up for the event, Lucy had the pleasure of sitting down with Nicky Marshall, the founder of Discover Your Bounce, one of our exhibitors at the conference.

I have known Nicky for a few years now and I always enjoy a chat with her about wellbeing and mental health. You see Nicky talks from lived experience, as she had a stroke in her 40’s and as a result is incredibly passionate about the importance of prioritising out mental and emotional health. Through Discover Your Bounce, Nicky and her team offer a holistic approach to supporting individuals and organisations in enhancing their overall wellbeing, happiness, and productivity.

So, what better than being able to talk about the human side of digital wellbeing with Nicky.

During this discussion we talk about neurodiversity which is how Nicky and I connected in the world of business. We talk about the impact of online interactions for neurodivergent young people - we even delve into one of my favourite topics of fight, flight and freeze responses. In fact its not often I get to mention one of my favourite words “amygdala” in a podcast.
