Neurodivergent young people careers podcast

Tex saying We Need You, with a finger pointing at the user.

Can you volunteer your time for our latest podcast episode?

Thanks to funding from the Warburtons Community Grants, we are busy creating a new podcast episode as part of our Future Voices initiative; Different Minds, Bright Futures: Career Conversations

For this special one-off episode, we will be having conversations about careers advice for neurodivergent young adults and families, where we will share practical advice, lived experiences and expert insights into navigating into the world of work from a neurodivergent perspective.

But we can't do this alone, we need Your Voice.

➡️If you are a young neurodivergent adult (16-24), and would like to volunteer to be part of this project, to help us plan and record the episode, please fill out This Form. You will learn essential workplace and podcasting skills and be part of a dedicated, neurodivergent friendly and passionate team!

➡️If you are someone who could lend us their careers expertise, and would like to be involved in our project, please email us at [email protected]

The area beyond the gates is reserved for centre users only .

Casual, comfortable clothing is encouraged. You are welcome to bring fidgets, sensory supports or anything else that helps you feel at ease

There is a café on site where you can buy drinks and food. You are also welcome to bring your own. Both indoor and outdoor seating areas are available for breaks

What about travel and traffic?

There may be congestion around school hours in the local area, particularly at 9am and 3pm, so planning extra time for your journey may be helpful . Anyone who wants to support a positive, inclusive project centred on neurodiversity, career stories and lived experience. You do not need previous experience, just a willingness to take part and support others

How can I find out more or express interest?

If you would like to talk through the role, ask questions or confirm your availability, feel free to get in touch with the Inclusive Change team.

What will happen on the day?

We will begin with introductions and a short overview of the project so everyone knows the plan and feels settled. From there, we will work together to shape the podcast content. This includes gathering questions, learning the basics of recording and how to use the equipment, and drafting the podcast script.
For anyone who would like to be a voice on the podcast, there will be time to practise speaking styles, asking questions and getting comfortable with voice recording.
After lunch, we will move into the main recording session and interview our guest.
If you would like to support the project beyond the day itself, there are opportunities to help with creating jingles, improving SEO on our webpages and contributing to editing tasks
