Name: Stephanie Benfield

Job Title: Neurodiversity, Performance and Confidence Coach (or just Neurodiversity Coach for short!)

What inspired you to become a coach (please change term if you use a different one)?

After years in various corporate settings in the automation, tourism, insurance, and pharmaceutical industries, the most enjoyable part of my work in each role was supporting, developing, and coaching my teams.

I then trained as a certified coach and now have the best job in the world: supporting people in navigating challenges and reaching their goals!

How do you support Inclusive Change?

I am a trained trauma-responsive neurodiversity coach. I help people with neurodivergence better understand their strengths and develop strategies for any neurodiverse and workplace challenges.

I have my own neurodivergence of autism and dyspraxia, while my coaching style is action-focused, offering lots of accountability, support and some humour in there, too!

Tell us something interesting about yourself?

I love adventure travel—from trekking through the jungles of Borneo, biking through Myanmar, and climbing Everest base camp. But when I'm not doing that, I am a classic introvert and love sewing and crafting on the sofa!

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

Set yourself good, better, and best goals each day. The best goals are the ambitious ones that you can achieve when the world is on your side. Better goals are for average days, while good goals are the goals you can still achieve even when things aren't going to plan!

Anything else you would like to add?

If you want to learn more about how neurodiversity coaching can help you or have any questions about working with me, please don't hesitate to reach out!
