Works 4 Youth Engaging Potential poster

Works 4 Youth

Image of the Works 4 Youth Event - an audience are watching two people address them.

We had the privilege of attending the Works4Youth Engaging Potential launch event on May 16th. Organised by the South Glos Community Learning & Skills Service in partnership with Ablaze, LPW, and Creative Youth Network, it was evident that building better opportunities for young people was at the forefront of everyone's minds.

The scheme itself provides free and one-to-one support to help young people build skills and access employment, education, and training. It was wonderful to see so many people striving to equip the youth with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in the workforce.

If you or someone you know is 16-25, living in South Gloucestershire, and not in employment or work, then Work4Youth can help you. Mentors and engagement workers can help overcome barriers, refresh existing and develop new skills.

By regularly meeting with a mentor in a safe space and building an action plan to help set some goals. Mentors will also help with working on interview skills, and there will be workshops that will work on developing key skills with other young people on their own journeys.

Inclusive Change is honoured to have been invited to this momentous occasion and we look forward to seeing how empowering youth and fostering growth can create a more promising future for generations to come.
