Who is this for?

Parents, Carers and Educators who want to start discussing career options for neurodivergent young people.

What happens to my neurodiverse child after they leave school? Help me understand their options!

During this online session we will:

⭐ Explore neurodiversity at work and what this means for families.

⭐ Consider how and when to begin thinking about careers.

⭐ Hear real stories of and from neurodivergent young people through education and beyond.

⭐ Discuss some of the options currently available beyond 16 years old.

⭐ Discuss how to plan and prepare for employment.

⭐ Provide you with contacts and links to further information – allowing you to continue your thinking and research at your pace.

It is never too early to start thinking about your child's future and to learn what options are available to them in the world of work. But every child is different and the right career pathway for one may not fit another. The same applies to young people who are neurodivergent.

As a parent it may feel tough or overwhelming to know where, when or how to start. Funded by

South Gloucestershire Council,

this introductory seminar is designed to help parents and carers consider future opportunities and start to prepare for work and careers. It will cover a range of topics, enable you to ask your own questions, and allow you to meet and discuss with likeminded carers and educators.

We aim to have you leave with a greater understanding of the options available and how to help your child navigate the world of work.
